What we do

Among the services provided by AnthroWatch are the following:

(1) Research, capacity-building and assistance in gathering anthropological data such as ethnographies, census and genealogy required for Certificate of Ancestral Domain Title (CADT) application.

An Iraya youth interviews an elderly leader about his genealogical history
during an ethnography training for the Mangyan in Occidental Mindoro
.

(2) Capacity-building initiatives on community development plan formulation

Buhid Mangyan of Mindoro validate information on their map
during an assembly to confirm their community development plan

Community involvement during development planning is ensured through participatory methods conducted on site in areas we work in. The picture above shows our staff and the community facilitator facilitating a project needs and identification workshop in a community in Occidental Mindoro.

(3) Workshops on culture and gender sensitivity

(4) Assistance in participatory 3-Dimensional Mapping for land use mapping of the ancestral domain

AnthroWatch assists in construction of 3D maps for land use planning among indigenous peoples.

(5) Production of GIS materials such as thematic maps of ancestral domains in the Philippines
